Bio

I am proud to begin my third year as a member of the David T. Howard Middle School Rams family. With 24 years of experience in elementary and middle school education, I remain passionate about creating engaging learning experiences that inspire students to grow as scientists, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education from Fort Valley State University and my master’s degree in Middle Grades Education from Brenau University. I am also pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Management at Hampton University.

My teaching journey has provided me with opportunities to educate students both nationally and internationally, including in the United Arab Emirates, China, and Germany. In 2008, I was honored as Teacher of the Year at Stone Mountain Middle School in Stone Mountain, Georgia. In 2023, while teaching in Bavaria, Germany, I was nominated for District Teacher of the Year for Europe East.

I am excited to continue serving the David T. Howard Middle School community and helping our young scientists unleash the hero within!
